Fox News Boasts Trump ‘Doesn’t Bow Like Obama’ to Saudi Leader (He Later Curtsied)
‘Make America Curtsy Again’
After Donald Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia today for his first foreign trip as president, Fox News was quick to boast that Trump “[didn’t] bow as Obama appeared to do.† (The White House denied Obama bowed during his 2009 trip.)
But after Donald Trump received the King Abdulaziz al Saud Collar, Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honor, Twitter was quick to agree with Fox and other conservative outlets that Trump didn’t bow.
Because he curtsied.
Watch, and read some responses below:
STAFF: A slight bow is appropriate when receiving a gift from the Saudi King…
PRESIDENT: Imma curtsy
STAFF: Sir–
PRESIDENT: CURTSYING

Perhaps if we reduce our dependence on oil and develop more clean, renewable energy, American presidents won’t bow or curtsy to Saudi kings.

But it was the best curtsy. https://t.co/T2kWR6kLIM

This would be silly if not for the hypocritical fact that Trump spent years suggesting Obama was a Muslim terrorist for acting diplomatic.
