Donald Trump Jr Tweets About ‘Certain Individuals’ After Wife Hospitalized Over Letter With White Powder
First Response After Event
Donald Trump Jr. has posted his first tweet after Vanessa Trump was hospitalized over opening a letter that reportedly contained a white powder. The president’s eldest son called Monday’s event an “incredibly scary situation.”
“Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior,” he added.
Thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning. Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior.

The president has not personally commented.
The powder reportedly was not harmful and the decision to hospitalize was precautionary.
“After the letter was opened, three people at the residence were taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center strictly as a precaution, the New York City Fire Department said,” according to ABC News. “There is no indication anyone suffered any injuries.”
