'Two Things That Have Only Never Let Me Down in This Entire Country’s History'
Fox Sports analyst Clay Travis told CNN's Brooke Baldwin that he believes in only two things: "the First Amendment and boobs."
Travis appeared on CNN to share his views on ESPN reporter Jemele Hill, who on Monday called President Trump a "white supremacist." He stunned not only CNN's Baldwin, but the opposing guest, Keith Reed, whose face froze is astonishment as he heard Travis' words.
“Hold on, I just want to make sure I heard you correctly as a woman anchoring this show,” Baldwin said, in shock.
“Boobs,” Travis repeated. “Two things that have only never let me down in this entire country’s history.”
Travis was arguing that ESPN was being unfair for not firing Hill, after firing Curt Schilling for his disgusting remarks about transgender people.
Baldwin a minute or two later cut the segment short, and apologized for not doing so sooner.
Don't watch Clay Travis say sexist crap. Watch Brooke Baldwin shut it down. pic.twitter.com/mNoodf7NqV— Eric Morrow (@ericmorrow11) September 15, 2017
Travis appears to have intentionally made his remarks to get attention:
Just went on @cnn and said I only believe in two things completely, the first amendment and boobs and the host lost it. Need video now.— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) September 15, 2017
You can't say you like the first amendment and boobs? I say and write it every day. Need to make tshirts now. https://t.co/wRGpzDEKjJ— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) September 15, 2017
And he is: Twitter is blowing up right now – but not in his favor:
I miss the good ole days of 80 minutes ago when I had no idea what a Clay Travis was nor a reason to give a shit.— Liked By ZedCruz (@ZeddRebel) September 15, 2017

Clay Travis is trying to get Jemele Hill fired by referencing women's breasts. Just let that mess sink in.— Yamiche Alcindor (@Yamiche) September 15, 2017
FYI, @ClayTravis did this on purpose. His whole shtick is saying garbage that pisses off most people but ropes in his shithead fans for life— Robert Silverman (@BobSaietta) September 15, 2017
"Clay Travis" if your plan was to draw attention to yourself by talking like a sexist pig on @BrookeBCNN you did. But not in a good way!— Mike (@usmc701952) September 15, 2017

A white dude telling a woman he likes boobs while arguing for a black woman to be fired for her words is peak Trump supporter.— Ron Davis (@ir2pol) September 15, 2017
