Trump (Finally) Orders DOJ to Ban Bump Stocks
More Than Four Months After Las Vegas Massacre
President Donald Trump has is ordering the Dept. of Justice to “propose regulations” to ban accessories like “bump stocks” that turn military style assault weapons into virtual automatic weapons.Â
The man who shot and killed 58 people and wounded 851 others in Las Vegas on October 1, more than four months ago, used “bump stocks” to modify his weapons.
GOP lawmakers have shied away from voting on legislation to ban bump stocks, for fear of going against the NRA.
