Trump Applauds Stephen Miller’s Crazed Performance on CNN, Proving It Was All an Act for the President
Trump: ‘Tapper of Fake News CNN Just Got Destroyed.’ America: ‘Um, No He Didn’t’
Minutes after Stephen Miller’s crazed, outrageous, and unhinged appearance on CNN Sunday morning, defending President Trump and attacking author Michael Wolff, the president himself applauded his policy advisor’s performance.
“Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration,” Trump tweeted. “Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!”
Miller was combative, faked outrage, and demanded Tapper given him three minutes to say whatever he wanted rather than answer questions. So out of control was Miller that Tapper had to urge him to “settle down.”
It was clearly all an act, as Tapper even told Miller: “There’s one viewer that you care about right now and you’re being obsequious because you’re trying to please him,” Tapper had charged, before ending the interview by saying, “I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time.”
Whoa, this had quite the ending.
Tapper, frustrated with Miller’s repeated dodges & cheap shots at CNN, says, “I get it. There’s 1 viewer you care about right now & you’re being obsequious.”

Trump’s perception was curious, because Miller had not “destroyed” Tapper. Clearly Tapper had the upper hand and did a great job of containing his hostile guest, as The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent noted:
Tapper eloquently invited Trump to “judge for yourself”:
