  • Ted Cruz: Christians Can't Be Democrats Because Of 'Liberal Fascism' Of Gay Marriage Supporters

Ted Cruz in Iowa lies to Tea Party Republicans about "religious freedom" laws as he attacks Democrats over their religious beliefs.

This weekend Ted Cruz delivered what has been characterized as "one of his most passionate defenses of 'religious liberty,'" ever. Speaking at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Summit, Cruz attacked Democrats, all same-sex marriage supporters, and all "religious freedom" law opponents in an attempt to zero-in on his base and distance himself from what likely will be two dozen other Republicans racing to the White House.

"Today’s Democratic Party has become so radicalized to mandatory gay marriage in all 50 states that there is no longer any room for religious liberty," Cruz claimed. "There is no longer any room for defending what is the very first liberty protected in the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights in our Constitution."

"There is a liberal fascism that is dedicated to going after believing Christians who follow the biblical tenets on marriage," Cruz told supporters. He also insisted that "there is no room for Christians in today's Democratic Party" because of "intolerance," but claimed it is "so extreme, it is waking people up."

And Cruz lied to the crowd, stating "the laws that Indiana and Arkansas passed were substantively identical to the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act." Cruz, not only an attorney, but a former Texas Solicitor General, cannot possibly claim that to be a true statement.

And he lied again, saying, "we saw in Indiana a Christian owner of a pizza parlor who was driven out of business because of religious faith."

Cruz also told the crowd that between now and Tuesday when the Supreme Court hears oral arguments on four same-sex marriage cases, they and all Christians are called to "fall on our knees in prayer."

      The Christian Dilemma:

The greatest threat to America, and indeed to the rest of world, at this point in history, comes from the staunch advocates of right wing ideology, and I must submit this warning to you: There is a grave problem with the right wing movement, in that; they seem to possess a distorted sense of entitlement. They’ve set themselves apart, and seem to think that their faith gives them the right to view the world from a platitude of conceit, through condescending eyes, and with a false sense of superiority. They actually believe themselves to be superior beings, with a manifest destiny and some strange notion that God is on their side. A people with a desire to conquer, under the false guise of Christianity, seeking to dominate in the name of Christ, their view of humanity being reduced to nothing more than a matter of “us” and “them”.

What they fail to realize is; if the Christ you believe in leads you to view other humans as lesser beings, then you are a follower of the anti-Christ. The plain truth is; God doesn’t have a religion and God doesn’t discriminate. Any religion that professes to be the only true religion,or that they‘re special in the eyes of God preaches false doctrine. If the Spirit of God is truly with you, it will only be known by acts of “unconditional” love and charity. No religion can claim exclusive rights to God. He belongs to all that He has created, and to foster a belief in “us” and“them” is to divide humanity, not unite it.

And so it will be, in The End, that those who have set themselves apart from their fellow man will find that they have set themselves apart from God. The worth of a soul will only be measured by how much it has loved, nothing more, nothing less. Woe to those who have taken the widow’s mite and built castles and empires in His name. They have incurred a great accountability, their suffering will be unending.

Even Jesus will not claim to be Christian, but will only proclaim the glory of the Father. And when He returns they will shout: “Here we are Lord!” And He will respond: “I never knew you”. They have forsaken the Word and have become prisoners of the Numbers.

Those who have put themselves first will be last.

I’’d love to ask Ted Cruz if it isn’t possible that all of the fires, floods, earthquakes, plagues, etc., that we’ve experienced up until now aren’t God’s way of saying He’s angry with Christians for not fixing Marriage INEQUALITY before now? God may be immortal, but that doesn’t mean he’s also not impatient.

Why is this CANADIAN even considered a serious candidate for an office he is CONSTITUTIONALLY barred from? Out of one side of his mouth he hollers about the constitution and out of the other he disregards it. He has no idea what he is talking about or how stupid he seems when he uses self contradictory terms like LIBERAL FASCISM. He has no concept of true religious freedom. He should go back to Canada where he was PROVABLY born.

The pizza place didn’t go under because of Gay marriage. According to those who actually live there they were already on their way out. And were close to closing anyway. And because of their comments, they went out with close to $1 million tax free dollars in the bank. So yeah… Not crying one bit for them.

True oxyMORON as was stated. Fascism (/fæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. Influenced by national syndicalism, fascism originated in Italy during World War I, combining more typically right-wing positions with elements of left-wing politics, in opposition to liberalism, Marxism, and traditional conservatism. Fascism is often placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.

“Religious liberty” is the nutjobs’ buzzphrase du jour. They wanted to go with “faith liberty,” but it didn’t roll off the tongue as easily.

One of the Ten Commandments is: Thou shalt not bear false witness. However, nowhere in the Ten Commandments does it say “Thou shalt not bake a gay cake”

Ted Cruz bears false witness every time he opens his mouth. If that’s really against the Ten Commandments, then someone should remind Cruz that his lies will lead him straight to hell.

The tea party really needs to read the new testament. What would Jesus do? I highly doubt he’d vote Republican.

First: Under the 1st amendment Christians can be Democrats, LGBT, & pro-LGBT and they are. This is American law, get over it Ted Crud you ignorant trash.

Second: “Liberal fascism” is an oxyMORON. Dr. Lawrence Britt examined the fascist regimes of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Suharto, and several Latin American ones. He found 14 defining characteristics common to each and how well they fit with today’s Republican Party. Number 5 points out THEY ARE ALL ANTI-GAY!!!

More squeals from the hog pen. We should just dub all his vids with the sounds of a waller in full swing, it’s the same thing.
