Republican Congressman Calls for GOP to Dump ‘Disheveled Drunk’ Steve Bannon (Video)
‘Moral Issue’
Republican U.S. Rep. Peter King of New York is calling for his party to get rid of Steve Bannon, after the Breitbart publisher and former Trump campaign CEO backed yet another losing candidate, this time Alabama’s Roy Moore.Â
Calling it a “moral issue,” Congressman King told CNN that Bannon, who has bragged his website is the platform for the “alt-right,” “does not belong on the national stage.”
“He looks like some disheveled drunk that wandered on to the national stage,” King said, adding that Bannon is “not the type of person we need in American politics,” and called his “alt-right” views “weird.”Â
King also said Tuesday’s election in Alabama of Democrat Doug Jones was “revulsion by people” of Bannon’s style and “divisive views.”

The RNC and the leader of the Republican Party, President Donald Trump, fully and whole-heartedly embraced Roy Moore.Â
