Oprah Says No
‘Not Something That Interests Me’
There will be no President Oprah Winfrey.Â
The 63-year old media mogul, an actual billionaire, was widely speculated to be considering a run for president after her exceptionally well-received speech at the Golden Globes two weeks ago.
“I want all of the girls watching here now to know, that a new day is on the horizon.â€

Her longtime partner Stedman Graham fueled those rumors by telling reporters she would absolutely run if Americans wanted her to.
Many Democrats were excited, and many said no to having another celebrity president.
But now Oprah is the one who is saying no.
“It’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it,†Oprah tells InStyle in a profile that runs today. “I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not,†she says frankly.

Oprah, some may remember, did speculate about running just last year, saying that while she had never considered it before, now that Trump is president, why not?
The Democratic Party does have many qualified and experienced candidates. Soon we’ll see who’s willing to step forward.
