Robert Mueller Has Interviewed James Comey
Is Mueller Closing In?
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has interviewed former FBI Director Jim Comey in his probe into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election and any possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian Federation.
The New York Times, which reported earlier Tuesday that Mueller interviewed Attorney General Jeff Sessions last week, now adds that Mueller interviewed Comey last year.
“The interview with Mr. Comey focused on a series of memos he wrote about his interactions with Mr. Trump that unnerved Mr. Comey,” The Times reports. “In one memo, Mr. Comey said that Mr. Trump had asked him to end the F.B.I.’s investigation into the former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn.”
On MSNBC former DOJ Spokesperson Matthew Miller said Comey is the most important witness in an obstruction of justice case.Â
