Morning Briefing: 5 Things for Monday – Trump Explodes, Congress Returns, SCOTUS, Infrastructure, Cuba
Here’s What You Need to Start Your Day
Good Monday Morning! Hope you had a good weekend, because already this week is starting off with a bang.
- Early this AM President Trump destroyed any chance his Muslim ban had to be unblocked by the U.S. Supreme Court, by posting a stunning series of tweets calling it a “watered down ban.” He also lied about his administration’s efforts to create an “extreme vetting” program.

- Trump kicks off his infrastructure week. It’s important to note what it actually does is sell off federal assets, privatize federal programs like the air traffic controllers, and create tax cuts for the rich. In other words, not an infrastructure program.

- Congress returns from its 10-day recess today.
And a bonus!
- Trump visited his golf courses for the 22nd and 23rd times this weekend, where he uttered this:
