GOP Mass Hysteria: Terrorism Now Number One Issue, Fear Increases 6 Times What It Was One Month Ago
Terrorism has skyrocketed to the number one issue for Republicans so much that it’s now the top issue for American nationwide.
For Republicans, surrounded by Fox News and Donald Trump, terrorism has increased to their number one priority in just one month, a new Gallup poll finds.
In November, just four percent of Republicans saw terrorism as their top issue. Today, one in four Republicans, or 24 percent, see it as their number one priority, a six-fold increase.
By contrast, in November just three percent of Democrats saw terrorism as their top issue. Today, that number has increased to none percent.
Among independents, who tend to lean right, the number increased from two percent to 14 percent.
Overall, nationwide, concern about terrorism jumped from three percent to 16 percent.
The poll was taken between December 2-6, just after the San Bernardino attack.
“The terrorist attacks in San Bernardino and Paris have altered how Americans view the problems facing the U.S.,” Gallup reports. “Satisfaction with the way things are going in the U.S. dropped significantly to a 13-month low in December, and Americans’ trust in the government to protect them from terrorism is the lowest Gallup has measured.”
