Fired Trump Security Advisor Linked to Russia Has Just Offered to Testify – for Immunity
Now a Registered Foreign Agent
Fired Trump administration National Security Advisor Michael T. Flynn has just offered his testimony to he FBI, and the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, in exchange for immunity.Â
“He has made the offer to the FBI and the House and Senate intelligence committees though his lawyer but has so far found no takers, the officials said,” The Wall Street Journal reports.
Flynn, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general who was a top advisor to Trump during the campaign, has been linked to Russia. He gave a speech in Moscow, and in a widely-distributed image, was seen sitting at President Putin’s table.
Trump also fired Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, weeks after she told the President or his advisors Flynn was susceptible to Russian blackmail. Earlier this month, in an arrangement with the Dept. of Justice, Flynn retroactively registered as a foreign agent and declared approximately $530,000 in related income.
