‘Something Going On’: Trump Is Now Implying Obama Was Somehow Involved in Orlando Terror Attack
GOP Presumption Nominee Repeatedly Hints Obama Complicit in Deadliest Mass Shooting and Terror Attack Since 9/11
Donald Trump early Monday morning on network after network attempted to suggest that President Barack Obama is somehow involved in the horrific Orlando terror attack that killed 49 people in a gay nightclub.Â
“Look, we’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind,” Trump said via phone to Fox News. “And the something else in mind — you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’ There’s something going on. It’s inconceivable. There’s something going on.”
“He doesn’t get it or he gets it better than anybody understands, Trump also claimed, ominously and adding, “it’s one or the other and either one is unacceptable.”

The Washington Post Monday morning reported the story with this headline: “Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting.”
The DC beltway newspaper was not the only one.
Talking Points Memo: “Trump Suggests Obama May Secretly Be Working with Muslim Terrorists”
The Hill: “Trump on Obama and Islam: ‘There’s something going on'”Â
David A. Graham at The Atlantic just wrote, “The idea the president is a Manchurian candidate, a mole or agent for jihadism is a stunning accusation, even by the standard of a presidential campaign in which Trump has delivered a series of breathtaking statements, from comparing a rival to a child molester to being unable and unwilling to differentiate one of his policy ideas from Nazi policies.”

What Trump did this am is arguably equivalent to a Dem suggesting 9/11 is an inside job the day after 9/11. https://t.co/A1rf9Xhi4r

It shouldn’t be overlooked just how extreme it is for Trump to suggest Obama was involved in the Orlando shooting: https://t.co/GHbMf65AOh

Trump effectively calls Obama a secret Muslim operative. It’s not subtle. Will he be held accountable? https://t.co/4DwktZzGZD
