Did Adele Really Say Her Success Is ‘All Thanks To Sarah Palin!’? Well… (Video)
Sarah Palin is thrilled Adele said she owes her success to her. But watch the actual video – was Adele mocking the former Republican vice presidential candidate?
From gossipy PEOPLE magazine to fashion magazine Marie Claire to pop-culture and social media destination Mashable to the right-leaning political news site The Hill, the big news today is that Adele gave Sarah Palin credit for her success, and a star-struck Sarah Palin wrote Adele a cute little gushing thank you note which was really an attempt to promote her new book (of course!).
Dashed off a quick response to Adele'srecent comments while rushing through the airport in Charlotte, NC on the way to…

But did Adele really credit Palin?
“The week I was doing” Saturday Night Live, Adele tells Graham Norton on BBC One (UK only), “it was meant to be a normal week but the week after, Sarah Palin was supposed to do it.”
“Because something came up in the campaign, she came and did the week I was doing it with Josh Brolin. So it was one of the most watched SNLs ever, and then it was two weeks before the Grammy ballot, which is when people decide what songs they want to maybe nominate, so, like, literally the stars aligned for me,” Adele said.
“And then the album shot to number one on iTunes, I was nominated for a Grammy, and I won one. I mean, it was a joke. It was a joke. All thanks to Sarah Palin,” Adele, cackling, joked.
Yes, context and actually hearing the words and watching her facial expressions in this case is everything.
You be the judge. Was Adele joking, somewhat mocking the former Alaska governor?
You decide.
NCRM was able to locate video of the interview. Watch for yourself:
