Daily Show ‘Senior International Correspondent’ Trevor Noah Will Take Over For Jon Stewart
Trevor Noah, who just joined “The Daily Show,” gets a huge promotion.
He’s 31-years old, born in South Africa, and for three episodes has been The Daily Show’s Senior International Correspondent. Soon, Trevor Noah will have a new title: Daily Show host. He is a former radio host and actor, who is a stand up comic currently on tour in the Middle East. Noah was born to a black South African mother and a white, Swiss-German father – whose relationship was illegal during Apartheid – helping to inform his insightful observations about race.Â
No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!

“You don’t believe it for the first few hours,†Noah told The New York Times. “You need a stiff drink, and then unfortunately you’re in a place where you can’t really get alcohol.â€
“I’m thrilled for the show and for Trevor,†Mr. Stewart said in a statement. “He’s a tremendous comic and talent that we’ve loved working with.†Mr. Stewart added that he “may rejoin as a correspondent just to be a part of it!!!â€
