Conservatives Claim Racist Lynching Flyer Left At Black Church Is Pro-Democratic Candidate
A disgusting flyer left on cars at a predominantly Black church in North Carolina is so poorly written its message is unclear — but conservatives are blaming the Democrat in the race.
The race between incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Kay Hagan and her Republican opponent, North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis, is close. So just two weeks before the election, it’s time for the crazy to begin.
Worshippers at a predominantly Black church in Fayetteville on Sunday found a disgusting, offensive flyer tucked under their windshield wipers. The flyer, so ambiguous it could be claimed as support either side, includes an old image from 1920 in Duluth, Minnesota of three Black men being lynched, and the words, “Kay Hagan doesn’t win! Obama’s impeachment will begin! Vote in 2014.â€
The Fayetteville Observer’s Paul Wolverton documented the flyer:

Is that, “If” “Kay Hagan doesn’t win! Obama’s impeachment will begin”?Â
Or a prediction that Kay Hagan won’t win and Obama’s impeachment will begin?
The flyers are “signed,” Concerned Citizens of Cumberland County, a group that apparently does not currently exist.
Even though they state, “Vote in 2014,” are the flyers designed to get the members of Kingdom Impact Global Ministries to the polls, or a threat to stay away?
One woman who says she received one of the flyers told WTVD she feels “threatened.”
Meanwhile, the conservative news media is frothing at the flyers.
Breitbart has no doubts (or intellectual curiosity, or lower-case letters, apparently):Â PRO-HAGAN POLITICAL FLIERS USE LYNCHING IMAGERY
The Daily Caller is certain of the flyer’s origins and message: “Pro-Hagan Flier Uses Lynching Image, Warns Of ‘Obama’s Impeachment’ If Democrat Loses.”
GOPUSA took a story from the Fayetteville Observer and changed the title to suit their purposes: “Fliers promoting Democrat Kay Hagen use lynching imagery”
Hot Air: “Subtle: Pro-Kay Hagan fliers warns GOP victory with lynching images”
But don’t you worry, because Michelle Malkin’s Twitchy is all over this.
Fortunately, the Secret Service and local police actually are all over it.Â
