Clinton: ‘Dangerously Wrong’ Donald Trump ‘Doesn’t Understand America’ (Video)
First Appearance With Tim Kaine as Presumptive VPÂ Nominee
Speaking to supporters in Miami Saturday afternoon Hillary Clinton repeated a new campaign theme she introduced Friday evening after the Republican National Convention. Appearing for the first time with U.S. Senator Tim Kaine after announcing him as her choice for vice president, Clinton slammed Trump for not understanding America, framed him as a dictator, and denounced his claim that he alone can fix everything.
“His vision of America is one where we Americans are kind of helpless. We need to be rescued,” Clinton, speaking about Donald Trump, had told supporters on Friday. “I can’t really imagine him on a white horse, but that seems to be what he is telling us: ‘I alone can fix it.'”
She doubled down on that focus minutes ago.
“We Americans, we solve problems together. If Donald Trump doesn’t understand that, he doesn’t understand America,” Clinton said.

“When someone says, ‘I alone can fix it,’ that should set off alarm bells among Democrats and Republicans,” Clinton said. “That is not a democracy.”

“It is nonsense, no one does everything alone,” Clinton continued, references people in the military, nurses and doctors, and others.
She included Trump among a group of “despots and dictators,” calling his authoritarianism “dangerously wrong.”
