Breaking: Ted Cruz Refuses to Endorse Donald Trump, Gets Booed at GOP Convention
‘Vote Your Conscience. Vote for Candidates Up and Down the Ticket Who You Trust to Defend Our Freedom’
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz Wednesday night stood before Republican Party delegates and refused to endorse for president of the United States Donald Trump, the man who threatened to “spill the beans” on his wife Heidi. Trump had followed that up with a retweet of an ugly photo of Heidi Cruz. Ted Cruz had called Trump “a sniveling coward” and told him to “leave Heidi the hell alone.”

Trump ultimately beat Ted Cruz in the primaries, and Cruz ended his campaign, but the rancor between the two Republican hard-liners was so extreme Cruz refused to endorse Trump, and he continued that resolve tonight.
Cruz spent most of his speech touting what he sees as conservative ideals, praising the military and police “fighting radical Islamiic terrorism,” to chants of, “USA! USA! USA!” He spent the rest of it trashing Hillary Clinton.

Trump may have expected an endorsement – he walked into his private box just as Cruz was wrapping up his speech, only to hear the sound of no endorsement.Â
By the time Cruz was done, the crowd, who had cheered much of his speech, roundly booed him for not endorsing the GOP nominee.
