Younger voters flocked to Sanders during the primaries, and while the majority of Sanders supporters polled say they are voting for Clinton, younger voters are still seen as an opportunity for the Democratic nominee.
Mondy night’s debate helped Clinton greatly with that demographic. A PPP poll taken just after the debate found not only did Clinton win, 51-40, she won over many younger voters. 47 percent said her performance during the debate made them more likely to vote for her, and 63 percent say they thought she won the debate, a higher score than the overall average.
