Roy Moore Tells Parishioners ‘The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender’ Are Behind ‘Malicious’ Sexual Assault Allegations
LGBT People ‘Want to Change Our Culture’ Moore Told Supporters
In a long and rambling speech during an Alabama Baptist church service Wednesday evening Roy Moore blamed liberals, LGBT people, and socialists for the “conspiracy” of sexual assault allegations against him.Â
Buzzfeed’s Brianna Sacks reports Moore “accused liberals, gays, bisexuals, transgender people, and socialists of fabricating sexual harassment allegations against him in an effort to keep his conservative Christian views out of Washington.”
“Who are they? The liberals. They don’t want conservative values,” Moore, speaking at the Magnolia Springs Baptist Church, said. “They are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender who want to change our culture. They’re socialists who want to change our way of life. Putting man above God. And the government is our god. They’re the Washington establishment. They simply wants to keep their jobs, do the same thing, keep everything the same so they don’t lose their position, power and prestige.”

Moore went on to call the attacks against him “not only false, and numerous, but malicious.” Among the attacks, he said, are for his “sexual immorality,” which “hurts more than all,” he said. And he called the attacks against him a “conspiracy.”Â
NBC News’Â Vaughn Hillyard, who posted the video above, summed up Moore’s speech:
Tonight, Roy Moore called allegations against him “a conspiracy,†placing blame on liberals, LGTB individuals, the Washington establishment, a retired Gadsden police officer whose son was shot/killed & a fmr WaPo food writer for concocting the “malicious†attacks against him.
