Internet Furious After Trump, Leaving for Las Vegas, Says ‘It’s a Very, Very Sad Day for Me, Personally’
Many on Social Media Furious Trump Is Making Today All About Himself
President Donald Trump Wednesday morning left the White House to head to Las Vegas where he will meet with first responders after the late Sunday night massacre that left 59 people dead and 527 wounded. Before boarding his helicopter with the First Lady the president shared his thoughts with reporters.
“Well, it’s a very sad thing. We’re going to pay our respects and to see the police who have done, really, a fantastic job in a very short time,†President Trump said. He added that the police are learning “a lot more” and those findings will be announced “at the appropriate time.”
“It’s a very, very sad day for me personally,†the president added.

Earlier, on Twitter, Trump attacked media reports of his disastrous trip to Puerto Rico, where he literally threw rolls of paper towels to hurricane survivors and suggested they did not suffer “a real catastrophe like Katrina.”
Meanwhile, many on social media were exasperated after hearing Trump say today is sad for him “personally,” rather than sharing the grief and mourning of the people in Las Vegas and letting them know he and the nation supports them. Some are saying that once again in the face of a national tragedy President Trump is already making it about himself.
“It’s a very very sad day for me personally.”
I am actually surprised it took him so long to make this about him.

“very sad day, for me”. Donald is always the victim. It’s always about him personally.
