‘I Said Roy Moore Will Not Be Able to Win’ Trump Says After Backing Roy Moore 100%
Voters in Conservative Alabama Just Sent Trump a Strong Message
President Donald Trump managed to back two losers in one of the reddest states in America, and now he’s trying to save face. Tuesday morning, after the Republican National Committee, President Trump, and Steve Bannon endorsed, backed, and supported credibly accused child molester Roy Moore, Roy Moore lost the Alabama Senate race to Democrat Doug Jones.
Trump originally endorsed Luther Strange in the GOP primary, but at a Strange campaign rally, with Strange arm’s length away, President Trump actually told voters he might have made a mistake in backing Strange. Strange lost the primary to Moore.
“The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election,” Trump tweeted. “I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!”

First, Trump’s endorsement of Luther Strange did not make Strange’s numbers go up “mightily,” in fact, it’s safe to say Trump’s endorsement of Strange had no effect whatsoever.
Trump’s claim the “deck was stacked” against Moore is true, if the deck is the deck of human decency. That deck is also stacked against Trump.
