‘Hurricanes Created By Gay Marriage’: Seth MacFarlane Mocks Duck Dynasty At Awards Show (Video)
Watch as “Family Guy” creator and LGBT rights ally Seth MacFarlane mocks “Duck Dynasty” during his acceptance speech at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards.
Seth MacFarlane, known as the creator of the Emmy Award winning series “Family Guy,” an often outspoken LGBT civil rights ally, and a sometimes controversial comedian, spared practically no one as he delivered his acceptance speech at Sunday night’s Critics’ Choice TV Awards.
MacFarlane was given the Louis XIII Genius Award during a live telecast of the fifth annual award show, aired on A&E Network, which coincidentally also airs “Duck Dynasty.”
“Let’s not forget I’m being declared a genius on a network that airs ‘Duck Dynasty,’ a show whose cast members believe hurricanes are created by gay marriage,” MacFarlane quipped. “I wish I was joking.”
He also took a shot at himself, saying, “I want to thank the people at Fox who years ago took a chance on a quirky little animated show about a bumbling dad and his family — which I saw and then created ‘Family Guy,’ ” MacFarlane admitted, referring to the long-running popular series, “The Simpsons.”
