After years of devastating statistics of sexual assault and recent Senate hearings on the rape culture ignored by military commanders, minutes ago today, standing among hundreds of Marines at Camp Pendleton, President Barack Obama said, “It undermines what this military stands for, what the Marine Corps stands for, when sexual assault takes place within our units.”

It is believed to be one of the first times a President has publicly addressed troops directly on the issue of sexual assault. President Obama made similar remarks at a Naval Academy graduation recently.

Obama added, “Hear it directly from me — the Commander-in-Chief,” and, “We are going to work together to stop these crimes of sexual assault … and that message is coming all the way from the top.”

The President’s comments on sexual assault received strong applause.

Obama’s speech covered a wide variety of issues, including the administration’s efforts to help service members transition into civilian life and find jobs.

Obama is well aware that Camp Pendleton allows rape to happen and promote rapist, yet he has done nothing or launched any investigations! He is all lip service and Pendleton is riddled with rapist and druggies! The worst group of men in this country!
