Americans’ confidence in Congress has fallen to a new all-time low. Now, just ten percent of Americans think Congress is doing a good job, down from 13 percent. The previous all-time low was eleven percent in 2010.
Gallup, which just released the poll results this afternoon, notes Congress ranks “last on a list of 16 societal institutions for the fourth straight year.”
This is the lowest level of confidence Gallup has found, not only for Congress, but for any institution on record. Americans remain most confident in the military, at 76%.
