‘This Is War’: Kristol Warns FBI Raiding Trump Attorney Offices Could Trigger President to Fire Mueller
Conservative columnist and frequent cable TV pundit Bill Kristol says the FBI raid on President Trump’s personal attorney’s offices could lead to Trump firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller or pardoning people.
“This is war,” Kristol tells CNN’s Jake Tapper Monday afternoon, in the video below. “I believe that this shows that we are very close to the end game. You do not go to bust in – get a warrant – to search the President’s personal lawyer’s office unless you think that you are close to the end of this.”
“The president is now going to go to war against him,” Kristol repeated, after having called the move “a huge escalation.”
“If the President’s ever thought about trying to fire Mueller or pardon people, this is the moment where it goes to the very front of his mind,” Kristol warned.
He didn’t stop there.
“I worry that we could be under interpreting this,” Kristol continued.
